B4SI for Community is a program for not-for-profits and social enterprises partnering or seeking to partner with companies. This is an APAC-based training program providing a standard methodology for non-profits to measure community investment, and to help them establish a common language with companies to build new and strengthen existing partnerships.
The reporting tool and framework for the non-profit sector were piloted in 2016 and officially launched in 2017. They build on B4SI’s global network and decades of experience.
How it works
The program is delivered through a set of three webinars. These focus on best practice corporate community investment reporting, impact measurement and strategic partnership and program development. Over three sessions, participants gain a detailed understanding of the B4SI for Community methodology, data tools and guidance . This is a simple input, output, impact framework for non-profit organisations to use in managing their programs and reporting back to corporate partners. There is a small amount of work for participants to do in their own time, enabling participants to immediately put the learnings into practice on existing or proposed programs.
The B4SI social impact methodology, along with a set of guiding principles, is incorporated into the training to provide organisations with a comprehensive toolkit that navigates impact measurement and strategic partnership development.
Organisations can nominate up to three team members to participate. Participating organisations are entitled to one ticket to the B4SI Annual Conference in APAC, free of charge.
“A really useful process to work through. It has started to guide our thinking for our measurement and evaluation across our community engagement programs, and what data we will look to put resources into collecting.” – VIC SES
“We’ve had useful conversations with corporates. We’ve been able to help our partners clarify strategic intent, identify what might be beneficial to them (e.g. in engaging their Board and Executives), and help frame where the partnership could move to.” – St John’s WA
